Florida Frontiers is the weekly multimedia program for the Florida Historical Society. During HASTAC 2017 Dr. Ben Brokemarkle, the executive director of the FHS and host of Florida Frontier did a series of interviews with attendees from Florida institutions at HASTAC. Those interviews provide a great overview of some of the digital activities happening in Florida. I say some because this documentary does not cover all the activities happening at institutions across the state. As we engage in digital projects, it is often difficult to track projects and faculty activities effectively. I would urge those interested to look toward organization such as the Florida Digital Humanities Consortium to learn more. Nonetheless, this program is an important effort to provide the general public insight into the impact and methods linked to digital tools in teaching and learning history. This is a vital conversation to have and I appreciate this episode of Florida Frontiers as means to support that conversation.
